ROUND LITTORINA – The Littorina Littorea shells are abundant on Scandinavian shores. In fact, they gave name to the Littorina Sea, the larger and saltier forerunner of today’s Baltic Sea. They're the tiny shells spread out among the mussels and oysters on this swirly (look closely) shell mirror frame. Blue Mussels, Littorina Littorea and Heart Cockles from the south Swedish peninsula Kullahalvön and Oyster shells from our local bistro, all edible. Bon appetit!
